Talley Associates provided landscape architectural services for the new Phoenix Children’s Hospital in Phoenix Arizona. This multi-year expansion of its main campus began in May 2008 at an estimated total project cost of $538 million.
New construction included a new patient tower, a new advanced central energy plant, a 525 car employee parking garage, a new level 1 pediatric trauma center and an on-campus Ronald McDonald House. Additionally, Talley worked with HKS to provide a new site arrival/entry experience for patients and visitors to the existing campus, as well as site and perimeter design.
The newly opened space features a palm-lined boulevard entrance, three-story light-filled atrium lobby, second-floor specialty clinic spaces and a cafeteria. The expanded space will treat children who are seeking specialty outpatient medical care in dermatology, endocrinology, pulmonology, orthopedics and gastroenterology.
