Darnall Army Medical

Talley Associates provided site design and landscape architectural services for the Carl R. Darnall Medical Center design/build competition. The site design concept is to formulate a compact village of building elements on the highest point of the parcel that culminates in a landmark entry sequence and creates a “beacon on the hill” for the entire base.

Services provided by Talley include site master planning with the architect, hardscape and landscape design, site grading, and lighting design. This includes site visibility, entry/arrival experience, visitor arrival experience, site vehicular and pedestrian circulation, design of appropriate linkages, and arrival/drop-offs. Talley also designed special amenity features that included multiple courtyard spaces, a healing garden, walking trail, fountains/water features/pond, and a green roof.
