Talley Associates provided site design and landscape architectural services for Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Frisco, Texas.
The Frisco location is anchored by our Center for Excellence in Sports Medicine. Scottish Rite Hospital recognized the need for a patient access point in the fast-growing northern suburbs of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. the new facility is located at the corner of Lebanon Road and the Dallas North Tollway near Frisco High School.
Services provided by Talley involved site master planning with the Architect, hardscape and landscape design, site grading, and lighting design. This includes site visibility, entry/arrival experience, visitor arrival experience, and site vehicular and pedestrian circulation, design of appropriate linkages, arrival/drop T offs, and overall connections for future development. Talley also designed special amenity features that include courtyard spaces, fountains/water features, trellis/shade structures and specialty paving design.
The inclusive playground and park is designed to allow ease of access and appropriate activities for children at all levels of physical ability. There are two open-air pavilions that offer shaded space, ceiling fans and tables and chairs for relaxation and picnics. Includes accessible restroom facilities.
The natural landscape includes a walking and running trail, surrounded by a backdrop of native Texas vegetation.
