The W Hotel

The W Hotel in downtown Austin combines a dynamic set of program elements to create an exciting new urban center for the city. This 1,000,000 SF project included a W Hotel with 225 guest rooms and 200 condominiums plus a new Austin City Limits Music Venue, office space, retail space and an extensive below-grade parking garage.

On the 4th level of the tower, Talley Associates designed a large rooftop terrace, featuring separate hotel and condominium swimming pools, lush plantings, trellis structures, cabanas and other amenities. In addition, Talley Associates developed an exceptional urban edge with great detail to the streetscape as it relates to the City of Austin Great Streets Program, an arrival court, as well as detailed street sections to resolve street parking and create a great pedestrian edge to the building.

The project, part of the Austin Block 21 project, has achieved LEED Silver Certification.
